Immunoassay

Immunoassays are chemical tests used to detect or quantify chemical substances of diagnostic interest in a blood, urine or other body fluids. Immunoassay systems use antibodies as the central component in their analytical reactions and have the ability to detect and quantify very low analyte levels. Commonly performed tests assess thyroid function, screen and monitor for cancer and cardiac risk and provide important information in fertility and reproductive testing. Other tests are used to monitor critical factors associated with anemia, blood viruses and infectious diseases.

Beckman Coulter’s industry-leading systems capabilities allow laboratories to select a product with confidence, knowing they can adapt to changing work load requirements and testing needs. Combined with an extensive test menu, these systems can enhance lab efficiency by increasing productivity, improving patient health and reducing the cost of care.
